Staff
Residents of the Cohuna
Community Nursing Home are provided quality care by Registered Nurses,
expert in the delivery of high care needs for the elderly, under the guidance
of Nurse Unit Manager, Mrs. Anne Harrison and overseen by the Director
of Nursing, Mrs. Anne Graham.
Residents and their
families are encouraged to openly communicate with staff to discuss any
concerns or issues that may arise. There is also a suggestion box provided
and yes, we do appreciate both positive and negative feedback.
New
Residents
Information for new
or prospective residents and their families is available in the Orientation
Booklet. The booklet provides comprehensive details on all aspects of
the Cohuna Community Nursing Home, resident care, personal requirements
and services available for our residents including a dietician, physiotherapist
etc...

Activities
Activities are regularly
provided by a qualified Diversional Therapist and staff to stimulate and
enhance our resident's lives.
Special days acknowledge
Anzac Day, Easter, or celebrate Australia Day, the Melbourne Cup and Christmas
festivities are a highlight with residents and staff getting into the
spirit of the occasion. Volunteers and visitors are made most welcome.

Other special occasions
include residents' birthdays. We provide a birthday cake which is shared
with other residents at afternoon tea time. The staff make every effort
to accomodate private family celebrations. Please consult staff should
you wish to organise something special.
Visitors
The home offers great
flexibility with open visiting hours.. Visitors are always most welcome.
Tea and coffee facilities are available. |
